TACstil Pavilion

Granada, Spain

In collaboration with Leyla Saadi through Urban Collabs

The Tex Pavilion is a co-designed, up-cycled community art installations and gathering space. It aims to educate the community about the catastrophic wastage in the fashion industry and amount of textile wasted annually. The pavilion is comprised of Eco-resin panels with salvaged wastage fabric compressed within and preserved as a piece of precious resource. All of the panels are to be deigned by members of the community through an Online platform allowing them to control the colours and array of textile strips.

The pavilion is then built from the result of the community co-design process using an advanced algorithm to achieve a colour gradient across the structure.
